FAQ

WHAT IS A LOOK?

Looks are one outfit change. You may add or remove an item to the look without it counting as an additional look (e.g. a jacket or glasses).

DO I NEED A MAKEUP ARTIST?

It’s not required, but I encourage ALL clients (even males) to use a makeup artist—today’s cameras are so technically advanced and sharp, they show every detail.

it will save on retouching costs.

even men need a light powdering to even out skin tones, remove shine, cover blemishes and dark circles.

fresh and natural makeup is the best look for headshots.

Makeup artists tame the flyaways in hair and can do smoothing when necessary.

A makeup artist will stay for the entire shoot for touchups and small makeup changes.

WHAT ABOUT MY HAIR?

Please come hair ready/how you like to wear your hair. The makeup artist can make minor adjustments by adding some curls/waves or very light styling—a hair stylist can be arranged with prior notice at an additional cost for blow outs and heavier styling (e.g., straightening curly hair/curling straight hair).

What clothing should I bring?

Don’t be afraid to bring too many things, the more choices the better. if you’re uncertain, bring it. KEEP IT SIMPLE, nothing too busy—As important as clothes are, you don’t want them to distract from you. Consider what looks best with your skin coloring and eye color.

WHERE DO WE SHOOT? AND, IS WEATHER A FACTOR?

The studio is located in West Hollywood where there is heat/air conditioning, bathroom, clothing rack, and makeup area. Weather conditions do not affect the shoot because there are lights that enhance natural lighting.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SHOOT?

Approximately 72 hours following the shoot, an online gallery will be emailed where you can download your images.

the final retouched images will be emailed as an online gallery including high res (TIFF) & lo res (JPEGS) files. the link will be active for two (2) weeks; once it expires, there will be a charge of $12.50 per image to reactivate it.
